Born in Sapporo, Japan

Started pottery at Radcliffe Ceramics Studio, Boston, in 1992. Studied under Makoto Yabe.

Moved to Tokyo, Philadelphia, Chicago and then Houston in 2001.

Continues pottery at Glassell School of Art, Houston.
